ABOUT US

Soul Trip is a project based in Uvita, Costa Rica, that encourages the human spirit to grow through transformational experiences rooted in ancestral knowledge.

Whether you are looking to retreat in the jungle and learn from the millions of living beings and interactions happening in the Costa Rican Jungle, to receiving a personalized support through your healing journey based on TCM(Traditional Chinese Medicine), we strive to create a sustainable project that empowers humanity to go back to the simplicity of preventive care and remembrance of our roots.

We offer a specific range of services that go from retreats, personal therapy, group sessions, tours to different arquelogical, natural and anthropological attractions and retreats. Our business is fully committed to support local communities, and therefore every activity is stimulating directly, or indirectly the local communities around, promoting a circular economy that enables original inhabitants to thrive and succeed in theor hometowns.

We are located at the base of the Paso de la Danta Biological Corridor, which is one of the most biodiversed areas of Costa Rica. Sorrounded by pristine waterfalls and beaches, untouched forests and an incredible variety of plants, trees, animals(ocean and land)

Times are changing… To me, it sometimes feels like we are moving backwards instead of forward. Humanity is transforming in ways we could not have predicted just a few years ago.

People are thirsty to find and conquer something in life. Not money. Not success. Not frontiers or nations anymore — but something deeper than that. For centuries, humans developed multiple mechanisms of survival that gradually entangled our vision and creativity. Nowadays, we face new challenges and paradigm shifts, and with them, we strive and crave new mechanisms of survival and coexistence.

Those ways are not far from us — they are actually inside of us. The more we connect with patterns of the past, with the history of trauma, with the reasons for pain and the roots of disease, the more we will be able to transform the fundamental pillars of society.

I did not invent this. It is out there — written in some of the oldest  books ever written by the wisest men and women of tremendous spirit. It is out there in the way nature unfolds, in the rhythms of the ocean, in the changes of the seasons, and in the obscure and brilliant forces of life. It is there in the smile of a child, in the emotion of a first love, and in the gentle touch of those who leave us during the transition of their final breath.

What makes us human is our immense capacity to understand and to share that which makes life unique. I have no doubt that our emotional resilience will lead us to understand how we can catalyze millennia of ancestral knowledge into something that nourishes the human spirit and soul — in such a way that it becomes almost unimaginable to conceive, even for a moment, the atrocities of our history.

Health begins there. Where the root moves, where the ancestors sing, and where grandmothers speak through the plants.

Plants and trees are close companions that have existed for more than 400 million years, and for approximately 100 million years have been in relationship with our mammalian organisms.

It is for this and many other reasons that systems of medicine — incredibly simple, yet profoundly complex at the same time — such as Ayurvedic Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine, continue to captivate us today, especially with the advancement of contemporary science and its exhaustive analyses, which demonstrate again and again their effectiveness and remarkable precision in treating all kinds of conditions in both humans and animals.

It is no surprise. We would not be here otherwise.

Plants, in their entirety, require complex relationships — relationships understood through experience and continuous interaction. Trees are not very different in this regard. Humans, even less so.

Soul Trip was born as a path toward self-exploration — individual, social, ecological, and collective. As a call to understand that “the illness of one is the illness of all,” and that it is through reconnection with ancient ways of interacting with nature that we will be able to create societies that are truly just, healthy, and conscious of themselves.

It was also born as a channel for collective empowerment through simple ways of preventing illness, reconnecting with our roots, and honoring the one thing that unites us collectively: our ancestors.

Our objective is to communicate the invisible through the knowledge of reason. To permeate the sublime nature of our land with the firmness of our logic. To heal darkness with the subtlety of our medicine.

Our purpose is to grow together — as a collective, as a species, and as a society.

Our goal remains, and will continue to be, to connect as many people as possible with the path of curiosity and the mystery of life, always through ancestral knowledge and the guardians who preserve this wisdom as complex forms of life and organization.

We are students.
We are root.
We are channel.
We are life.
